New dwelling-Chigwell

MARLIN Design was approached by the client following a number of failed attempts to gain Planning Approval for a new dwelling to be built within the grounds of his existing home. The existing home occupied a double-width plot and the new home was to be built to the side of, and attached to, the existing house. During the design process, and after the application for Planning Consent had been submitted, the client had the idea to incorporate a basement to the scheme as well as redesigning the roof to accommodate a loft conversion to the original house and provide additional bedrooms within the roof space of the new house. The end result is a stunning new home for the client and his family, with 6 bedrooms and a single garage for his beloved Mustang.
