Barn Refurbishment
Foxdells Lane, Bishop’s Stortford

This property is formerly the Chauffeur's accommodation to 'The Grange', in Foxdells Lane, Bishop's Stortford, the former home of Sir John Barker, who at the turn of the Century founded Barker's of Kensington, a major department store. The store finally closed in 2006, but the evidence is still there above Kensington High Street tube station for all to see.

Initially a small three bed dwelling, the client purchased the parking bay to the left of the pair, to enable the conversion of the right hand parking bay to be incorporated into the living area, thereby almost doubling the ground floor space.
